The Right UV-Curingⁱ Flatbed
Questions to ask when shopping for a new UVⁱ-curing printer.

As an educator, my interest is to assist print shop personnel in learning enough about a UV-curing printer to make an intelligent purchasing decision on their own. This article focuses on UV-curing, wide-formati inkjet printers 20" and wider. (Most are 54" and wider, up to 5-meters in width.)
With more than 45 different manufacturers offering about 101 different models of UV-curing flatbed printeri, the competition is intense. New models come out at every trade show. And since most print shop owners tend to visit at least one tradeshow a year when they are looking for a new printer, for this article I will concentrate on questions potential buyers should ask themselves before attending a tradeshow, questions to ask manufacturers during the show and what potential buyers should learn after the show about the printers they found suitable for their needs.
